MEET ME AT J.CREW

Have you heard the buzz?  I cannot wait for tomorrow's styling event at J.Crew to benefit VCU's Massey Cancer Center!  In case you haven't heard the details...

I'm thrilled to participate in this fundraiser for such an amazing organization in the Richmond community.  Massey is one of the top cancer centers in the country, conducting cancer research at every level.  A portion of all proceeds from the event will go straight to Massey, so that they can continue researching, conducting clinical trials, training health care professionals, and caring for patients.

J.Crew just got tons of new goodies in, so I went in to check them out and play dress-up!  My blurry dressing room selfies don't do the outfits a lot of justice, so hopefully you Richmonders can come check it all out for yourselves tomorrow night!  The rest of you will just have to use your imaginations.

Can't help but feel like I'm too old for a romper, but I love how the blazer makes it feel a little more "responsible and mature."

This skirt is SO good.  And the dressy/relaxed vibe with the (awesome) pumps and sweatshirt really speaks to me.

I was in the dressing room solo, so I'm not really sure why I was guffawing??  I may have to take this flattering button-down home with me on Thursday.  I love the modern ikat print combined with the classic cut.

It's hard to see in this picture, but the top is slinky, lovely silk.  I have to say, I don't love linen.  It inevitably looks like you've slept in it all night, even if you've just tried it on in the store for a minute.  Case in point, these pants.  But I bet they will still be a big seller.

Stripes on stripes.  Can't go wrong.

I notice that I tried on a lot of navy and neutrals, and I added color with accessories and shoes.  Interesting.  Maybe that will be my M.O. this summer.  Which of these is your favorite look?

I hope you'll join Christina Dick of Tiramisu for Breakfast, Jordan Taylor of Petite Modern, and me at J.Crew!  We'll pour you some bubbly and help you put together some great looks for a great cause.

As a personal stylist in Richmond, VA, I strive to make wardrobe choices clear and easy for women who are short on time, overwhelmed by their closets, or transitioning from one period of life to another.  Let's connect!
