LAST-MINUTE LOOKS, LOCALLY

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that The Scout Guide - Richmond editor, Cheney, and I hit up some local shops and boutiques last week looking for last-minute holiday party looks and gift ideas.  I'm going to give a quick recap, but you can read all about it on TSG-Richmond's blog.

Dress it up, dress it down.  Great options at Wardrobe.

There's plenty of time to find your New Year's Eve look, and because all of the shops are just around the corner (Libbie Ave. and Grove Ave.), you actually still have time to drop in and pick up some stocking stuffers.

First stop:  Wardrobe.  They had so many amazing pieces.  I really love this necklace to add a little pizazz to an otherwise Plain Jane look.  I'd love to find it in my stocking!

I wish I had snapped a shot of Cheney when she tried on this gold, sequined stunner of a skirt.  Can you think of anything more perfect to wear for New Year's Eve?

I did, however, manage to get a shot of Cheney in this gorgeous robe jacket from CCH.  I love how it flows, but somehow still manages to give off an architectural vibe.  That is a sign of quality design and fabric!

I'm totally in love with this dipped spike necklace by Twine & Twig, also available at CCH.  Twine & Twig was a new-to-me name, and I'm so happy to have found them right here in Richmond.

Nellie George has so many cozy sweaters, vests, jackets, and wraps in cashmere, wool, and faux fur.  And I love the soft colors they're offering right now.

Finally, we headed into Fraiche, mainly looking at gifts for the home, but I was thrilled to find lots of great accessories, too.  I love this whole stack and would wear it just like this, if I had enough arm space.

I also love this display of gold, black and tortoise shell.  I can get on board with this kind of Christmas decorating!

I know that online shopping, especially during the holidays, is so easy and convenient, but Richmond really does have a lot to offer.  This was just in one small corner…there's so much more where that came from!  Get out and shop locally.

As a personal stylist in Richmond, VA, I strive to make wardrobe choices clear and easy for women who are short on time, overwhelmed by their closets, or transitioning from one period of life to another.  Let's connect!
