JANUARY 1ST STARTS TODAY

Happy New Year  Cards by Bubby and Bean on Etsy

Happy new year!  I know it's technically been 2015 for several days already, but the new year officially starts for me today.

Our family's motto during Christmas break was "roll with the punches," and boy, did we have a lot of punches with which to roll.  We had trips cancelled because of flu and ear infections; we had a kid-friendly New Year's Eve (instead of the kid-free one we had planned for months); I gained a sweet nephew; and tragically, my dear friend lost a loved one.  But, in all of the chaos, came a great opportunity for us to relax and spend time together.  It was priceless and I tried to cherish every moment.

Today, however, we're back to it.  The kids are back in school, I've done the laundry, the grocery shopping, the menu-making, and I'm ready to get rolling on the resolutions!  I have several great posts planned, including a couple of product reviews, so keep your eyes open this week and next.  For now, though, I will leave you with a bit of very affordable eye/arm candy that I saw in Domino Magazine last month.

Bluma Project is a jewelry company based in Brooklyn, but their pieces are produced around the globe.  Bluma has fostered relationships with women's producer groups in several countries, and hopes to build sustainable income for the women artisans who create this beautiful jewelry.  The Corey Bangle is handmade in the Phillipines and comes in several colors.  (And it's only $28, so you don't have to pick a favorite!!)

By the way, if you didn't get around to sending Christmas cards, I'd say you safely have until the end of the month to send New Year cards, instead.  I love the ones pictured above by Bubby and Bean!  (And check out their blog, too.)  They have other lovely cards, too, so you can fulfill your "send more snail mail" resolution!

As a personal stylist in Richmond, VA, I strive to make wardrobe choices clear and easy for women who are short on time, overwhelmed by their closets, or transitioning from one period of life to another.  Let's connect!
